Here is a spot to discuss and pay tribute to classic celebrities that have recently passed away.

(Since it's a new year and the old "RIP" topic has 40 pages, I figured it's about time we got a new space. The only rule is to keep everything respectful!)

Hey Beatlebob! No problem about the delay in response! I've been very busy lately too. Glad we can still catch up from time to time! I will try my best to always keep in touch! Have you ever seen the Monkees Christmas episode? Butch Patrick AKA "Eddie Munster" is in it. That's how him and Peter Tork became close friends for many years. I am still very saddened over his death even a month later. Glad you also enjoyed "Bohemian Rhapsody". I thought the "Live Aid" scenes were the best part! I'm also excited for the upcoming Elton John movie called "Rocketman". I like both The Monkees and The Association versions of the song "Come On In" too! Thanks again for sharing some Photoshops for George Harrison's birthday and St. Patrick's Day. And thanks for commenting on the picture I posted of The Beatles with bagpipes. Aww! Thanks so much for always being my friend too! I hate how I don't have much time to talk anymore but I will still try to visit this site and the Beatles one at least once a month! I hope you and your mother are doing alright! The weather is finally getting better here too. It was horrible all throughout the first few months of this new year. Beatlebob, hope to catch up more with you soon! :-)

RIP Scott Walker

(1943 - 2019)

Sad news! "The Walker Brothers" were one of the best bands of the 60s. I liked their songs "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore", "Make It Easy On Yourself", and "My Ship Is Coming In".

Have a fab day!!! :-)

And I liked "Make It Easy On Yourself", and "My Ship Is Coming In" too!!! They Were a Great band in the 60's!! I Really Enjoyed the Video and hearing the song again!!

Thanks!!! Hope you have a FAB Day Too!!! :-)

I thought the information under the video was very interesting!!

R.I.P. Scott Walker - The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore - The Walker Brothers

The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore by The Walker Brothers.
Band members: Scott Engel († 22th March 2019, *read further below), John Maus (Nov. 12, 1943, New York city – † May 7, 2011, Los Angeles) and Gary Leeds (March 9, 1942 - Glendale, Ca.) made up the Walker Brothers. The 3 band members were no brothers and Walker was not their real last name. Scott Engel and Gary Leeds adopted the name Walker that singer and guitarist John Maus had invented for himself in 1964: as John Walker, with a fake birth date, he could perform anywhere, even when he was not yet 21.
The song was originally released as a single credited to Frankie Valli as a solo artist in 1965 on the Smash label, but was more successful when recorded by The Walker Brothers in 1966 and reached number one in the UK Singles Chart.
"The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore" was written by Bob Crewe (Newark, 12 Nov. 1930 – † Scarborough, 11 Sept. 2014) and Robert Gaudio (Nov. 17, 1942 in New York) of The Four Seasons. Gaudio is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

*R.I.P.: Scott Walker († 22th March 2019) - The Walker Brothers American-born frontman star has died at the age of 76. The rock enigma, who was born Noel Scott Engel (January 9, 1943 - Hamilton, Ohio) starred in the American pop trio, popular in the 1960s and 1970s, alongside John Walker, and Gary Leeds. He became a British citizen in 1970. Scott Walker's last record ‘Soused’ was released in 2014. And his last creative piece of music he composed was the soundtrack for the American musical drama film Vox Lux (2018) directed by Brady Corbet with actress Natalie Portman.

The Monkees try to instill the spirit of Christmas in a cynical rich kid (Butch Patrick).

Hey Sadie! I MISS YOU!! Hope you are doing Alright!! All My Best To You!! :-)

I'm Sure you watched the 2019 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! I Enjoyed Stevie Nicks, The Zombies, and Def Leppard the most. I Really Loved the end of the show when Ian Hunter came out to do "All the Young Dudes"!! I Loved seeing that!!! :-)

I Hope you are doing Well!! I Hope to catch up with you "sometime", when we both have the time!!

All My BEST Wishes to You, My Friend!!! :-)

"Def Leppard closed out their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last night (March 29) with a cover of Mott the Hoople's "All the Young Dudes." For good measure, they not only brought out Queen guitarist Brian May, who gave the speech inducting them, but also special guest Mott the Hoople leader Ian Hunter and several of the evening's other participants.

Joining them on stage for the David Bowie-penned song were Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent of the Zombies, Phil Manzanera of Roxy Music, Susannah Hoffs of the Bangles, and Steven Van Zandt. "There's normally an all-star jam," frontman Joe Elliott told the audience, "but this is a little different; more up-to-date, less messy, more classic." He then welcomed the others onto the stage at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., saving Hunter for last and pointing out that it was also the 45th anniversary of Mott the Hoople's last album, The Hoople."

"All the Young Dudes" Ian Hunter, Def Leppard & Brian May,

Mott the Hoople - All The Young Dudes

Hey Beatlebob! Thanks! I've been missing you and this site too! I noticed the Beatles site has a nice new spring themed layout! I'm sorry I don't have much time to be online anymore. I did watch the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Class of 2019 on HBO. I really enjoyed The Zombies and Def Leppard induction most of all! Thank you for sharing those 2 videos of "All The Young Dudes". I've actually never seen the original video before! Cool!!! I've always loved that song. Did you know it was written by David Bowie? The Mott The Hoople version is the most well known classic one though. I enjoyed the memorial segment of the Rock Hall too because they used a cover version of The Beatles "Let It Be" in the background. It was sad seeing some people like Peter Tork and Scott Walker up there though, who have just very recently passed away. Speaking of them, thanks for sharing that information and classic Monkees Christmas episode video. Have you seen the new documentary called "Leaving Neverland" on HBO? It made me believe all the bad reputation about Michael Jackson. It's somewhat disturbing but also very interesting. I still like some of his music no matter what. I hope you have a great month of May! I will catch up more with you later, my friend! Hope you've been feeling well lately! Have a fab day! :-)

Beatlebob, I miss you so much and hope you are doing alright! I haven't heard from you in so long that I'm starting to get worried!!! Hopefully nothing bad happened with you and/or your mother?? I posted about 3 classic celebrity deaths in the pictures section because this "Rest In Peace" topic wouldn't let me post any photos! Strange glitch! Sad how so many people have been passing away lately! Well I hope to finally hear from you again soon! Have a great summer, my friend! :-)

Hey Sadie!!!!

I'm So Sorry I haven't been here in so long!!! I've been so busy taking care of my Mother!! Learning about Tim Conway on the news this morning, I had to take time out to come Here and see if you posted anything here! And I sure see that you did!! I Really Miss You Too, My Friend!!!! Thank You So Much for your concern about me and my mother!!! So Sorry I had you worried!! Every time I wanted to come online and visit HERE something came up!! I'm Glad I had some time to get back to you today!!!

Two Saturdays ago my mother winded up in the ER early in the morning. She woke up with very bad Vertigo feeling the room was spinning upside down and was vomiting. She tried taking Meclizine but it wouldn't help and she kept feeling worse! Got her to the ER around 10 AM by ambulance. They took a lot of tests, including ekg, blood work, x-rays, and late at night they gave her an MRI of her brain etc. All the tests came out Alright. They don't know what caused this? They sent her home by Ambulette. We didn't get home till way after midnight. What a Nightmare! She's been feeling weak and has some mild nausea on and off. I've been her Caretaker, before and after the ER visit. Took her for a cognitive assessment test on May 7. And took her to her Neurologist yesterday. Her neurologist has to wait till he gets the results of that cognitive assessment test, and will see her again in 6 weeks. The Doctor that gave her that cognitive assessment test said he wanted her to see a psychologist and go for a sleep study test. BUT, he said he will contact her in 5 or 6 weeks for a follow up visit, and see about setting her up with a psychologist and that test. DAMN!!! Wish she didn't have to wait so long!!! What a long runaround between her Neurologist and that other Doctor!!! Yesterday her Neurologist refilled her prescription of 150 mgs of Trazodone that she has been taking at bedtime to try to help her sleep. He said he can't really do anything different till he gets the results of that cognitive assessment test! I don't know Why it takes so long for the results?? Really SUCKS!!! She only gets around 2 hours or so of sleep on the Trazodone. And that's only on some nights. Other nights she doesn't get any sleep!! Her Short Term Memory Is BAD!! Most of the time! It's been Worse than it was!! I'm Very worried about her!! So, I have to do everything around here, and make sure she is functioning alright all day. She hasn't been to her Senior Center in two weeks. Because of her condition. Tomorrow she is going to Try to make it there. She is going to see a social worker who also is a psychologist at the Senior Center. She's trying to set up some visits with her in the meantime. Hopefully it might help her some. Till she can see about those people she is supposed to see from That Doctor that gave her That cognitive test! She is in Very Bad Shape these days!! :-( That's why I've hardly been online. Have to take care of her and everything else!!! Next week have to take her to the dermatologist because of a rash she has on her chest. The following day I see my Shrink in NYC. I hate to leave her alone for many hours that day. But have to go. He is retiring Soon!! :-( I've been neglecting taking care of myself because I'm so busy with everything else!! Will take care of myself more as soon as I can. Sorry for rambling on!!! Just wanted to let you know what's been going on lately.

I Hope YOU are doing Alright!!! I see you had some very bad weather there not long ago!! I was worried about you and Hope you got through that Alright!!! I see you posted about the 3 classic celebrity deaths that happened recently in the pictures section! I'm leaving comments under each one!!! So Sad!!! :-( Thanks for posting them!!! I see that you tried posting them here in the "Rest In Peace" topic. But, it wouldn't let you post them Here for some odd reason!! Some Strange Glitch!! That happens from time to time, as you know. I Agree!!! It IS SAD how so many people have been passing away lately!!! :-(

I Know you've been Very Busy too!! But, Thank You So Much for posting HERE when you can!!! I'm Glad I finally found some time Today to catch up with You!!! I'll reply to what you wrote here on May 1. I've Also Been Missing YOU and this site Too!!! I just looked at The Beatles Site and I Really Like the new spring themed layout!!! For some odd reason as soon as I go there it brings me quickly to some kind of Travel page??? Can't stay on the Front page more than a minute before that happens!! :-( I tried both of my browsers and it does the same thing. ODD!!! Does that happen to you? So Glad you watched the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Class of 2019 on HBO!! I figured you did!! I Enjoyed The Zombies and Def Leppard induction most of all too!! :-) You're So Welcome for sharing those 2 videos of "All The Young Dudes"!! That was the First time I've seen the original video too!! Thought it was COOL!! I always loved that song too!!! Yeah, I knew it was written by David Bowie, I read that somewhere. I Agree that the Mott The Hoople version is the most well known classic one, though!! I really enjoyed the memorial segment of the Rock Hall too!! I too thought it was Cool that they used a cover version of The Beatles "Let It Be" in the background!! I agree! It was SAD seeing some people like Peter Tork and Scott Walker up there being they just recently passed away at the time!! :-( But, I was Glad to see it. You're So Welcome for sharing that information and classic Monkees Christmas episode video!! I keep forgetting to watch that documentary called "Leaving Neverland" on HBO!!! :-( I Do want to see it, and will when I remember to!!! LOL!! Even though you say it's somewhat disturbing, I'm Sure it is still very interesting!!! Yeah, I still like Some of his music too!!

Well, I think I caught up with all the things you posted here. Thanks My Friend!!! Thanks for Hoping I have a Great Month of May!!! I Hope You Do!!! So far it hasn't been that great for me, though. Hopefully things will get somewhat better in time!! Thanks!!!! I Hope YOU have a GREAT Summer too, My Friend!!! Seems the weather will be getting warmer soon!! I'm Glad we Finally had a chance to catch up!!!! :-) I Hope You are doing Alright!!! And Hope we can catch up again Soon!!!! Be Well, My Friend!!! :-)

Hey Beatlebob! OMG!!! Sorry to hear all that's been going on with your mother! That's awful! I hope she feels better soon! I've been going through alot of bad stuff lately too. My shrink for the past few years just suddenly left the facility. Therapy sessions will never be the same again! It sucks! Everyone else in there is so heartless! She was the only nice one. I hope the new shrink they give me won't be too cruel though. We'll see. Yeah the site is still having some weird glitches. That's why I posted about the 3 recent celebrity deaths in the pictures section instead of this topic. I see you heard about some of the deaths on TV. I only read about them online. It's just Trump stuff in the news every morning for me! Yikes! You really should check out the HBO documentary "Leaving Neverland". I always believed Michael Jackson was NOT innocent and this documentary further proves my suspicion. Nonetheless he was still a talented musician. It's hard to believe that next month marks 10 years of his death. I still remember it like it was just the other day! Good luck with your mom's next appointment to the dermatologist. Hope we can catch up soon! Good to hear from you again! I was getting worried! Best wishes and have a great summer, my friend! :-)

Hey Sadie! Thanks Sadie!! Yes, it's awful what's been going on with my Mother!! :-( Thanks!! I Really am Hoping she feels better soon!! My Mother finally made it back to the Senior Center last Thursday. And she went a few days this week! I'm So Glad that she went!! It's Good for her to be there with her friends her age. And takes her mind off of what's happening to her!!! When she's home she dwells on her situation too much and it makes her feel worse!! I'm Just Hoping when she sees her Doctors again, they can do something for her!!! Even when she goes to the Center I'm busy food shopping, and doing laundry, and cleaning around here! So, I'm always busy with something! I'm Sorry to hear that you have been going through a lot of bad stuff lately too!!! :-( I'm So Sorry to hear that your Shrink for the past few years just suddenly left the facility!! :-( I see she was the Only nice one there!!! I Sure Hope the New Shrink they give you will be as nice as she was!!!! BEST WISHES with the New Shrink!!!! I can relate! Three months ago my Shrink told me he will be retiring in the near future. He will be 89 years old. And I have been seeing him for many years!! He has always been there for me, and has always been so understanding and nice to me!! Even though I've been feeling lousy, I've been seeing him at his office the past 3 months because I don't know when he's going to be leaving yet. I went there Yesterday!! I asked him if he will try to help me find another psychiatrist when he leaves. He got upset with me for asking that. He said, after seeing you for so many years, you think I was just going to let you hanging out to dry. I told him it was in the back of my mind and I've been worrying about it. He said when he leaves he will do his best to set me up with someone good!! I was relieved!! He probably will be leaving around the end of the summer. But, he's not sure yet. He surely will let me know! Most Shrinks don't accept Medicaid, and most of them that he knows are probably far away from me. Because he's in NYC! So, this has been worrying me!!! Hopefully he will be able to set me up with someone!! So, I understand how you feel!!! I Wish You the BEST with getting a Nice Shrink!!!

Yes, it's too bad that this site is still having some Weird glitches!! So, that's why you posted about the 3 recent celebrity deaths in the pictures section instead of this topic!! Yes, I did hear about some of the deaths on the TV News! I'm rarely online these days. It's just Trump stuff in the news every morning for you!!! YIKES is Right!!!! :-( I watch the TV news in the early morning and evening and I'm so sick of the Trump stuff too!!!! :-( I checked HBO on Demand at home. And they don't have "Leaving Neverland" listed anymore!! :-( Once in a while HBO will something like that again out of the blue on one of their channels. If I see it on, I watch it!! Right after Michael Jackson passed away a lot of Bad things were coming out about him!!! So, I see why you always believed Michael Jackson was NOT innocent and that documentary further proved your suspicions!!! I agree though, nonetheless he was still a very talented musician!! Yeah, it is hard to believe that next month marks 10 years of his death!!! I also still remember it like it was just the other day!! Hell, it was on the News Everyday for a good while!!!

Thanks for the Good Luck wishes with my Mother's next appointment to the dermatologist!!! But, his office called and they had to cancel it again!! :-( I guess he won't be in that day too? Her rash isn't as bad as it was, at least!!! She will call and make another appointment with him! MAN!!! I've been watching the weather on NBC and CNN and your area has been getting some Real Severe storms there for many days now!!! :-( I Hope Everything is Alright where you live!!!! I HOPE You are Alright!!!! And some more possibly to come in your area and surrounding areas!!!! I Hope this CRAZY Severe Weather stops Soon for you there and all those other areas that's been hit too!!! When I see these reports I Worry about You!!! All My BEST WISHES to You!!!!!

It was Great hearing from you again too!!!! Sorry you were getting worried about me!!! It's just that I too have been very busy and not online that much anymore! I had some free time now and wanted to catch up with you again!! Thanks My Friend!!!! BEST Wishes to You too, and I Hope you have a Great Summer too!!! Hope we can catch up again Soon!!! :-)

Hey Beatlebob! Thanks for catching up! I appreciate you letting me know what's been going on with you lately along with the comments on those 3 pictures I shared of people who recently passed away. Yes the weather has been pretty bad in my area lately! It's raining almost every single day! The worst is thunder and lightning though. There hasn't been any floods or anything severe like I've seen in other states on TV. Yikes! I think I'd be locked away in a mental institution if I lost all my stuff like some of the people on TV have! That's my worst nightmare!!! Thanks for worrying about me in this weather! Sometimes I hear bad things on the news about New York and worry about you too! That's good your mother visits a senior center and has some friends there. Socializing really does help lift her spirits and take her mind off anything bad. Best wishes with her next appointments! I see your shrink is planning on finally leaving soon too. WOW! 89 years old?? I'm surprised he isn't retired already. Hopefully you will have no problem finding another shrink who is located nearby and one that is willing to make the occasional phone call session with you like this one has done sometimes when you can't make it to the building in person. I hate how I have to start all over again with my whole life story to this new stranger who knows nothing about me yet. It's gonna be weird starting from scratch. I just hope they will be professional (sometimes they have stupid young students in there!) and I hope they won't be a jerk. That's too bad "Leaving Neverland" isn't available to watch on demand for you anymore. Hopefully you can catch it whenever HBO reruns it one of these days, which is usually very late at night. I know, right? It's hard to believe it's already been a decade! I clearly remember that day in summer 2009 like it was just yesterday. It was a double whammy with Farrah Fawcett dying that same morning too. Speaking of her, did you watch that recent ABC special called "This is Farrah"? I recommend that too! It's still available to watch on demand with my cable provider, so it might be for you too. She was so beautiful and sweet. What a sad loss. Well the pictures feature here seems to be working again now so I wanted to say...

RIP Bobby Diamond

The actor has passed away at age 75 from cancer.

You may remember him from the children's show "Fury" and/or "The Many Loves Of Dobie Gillis".

Well it was great to hear from you again, Beatlebob! Again I'm so sorry that I'm rarely ever online anymore. I really miss talking to you and participating in this site and the Beatles site so much! Unfortunately I'm not going to participate in them anymore after this year, in order to focus on my nursing career. I know you understand! I plan on quitting around Christmas time. This site might not even be around in the new decade, 2020 anyway. We can still talk through e-mail though! You will always be my special friend forever! Hope you won't be too sad over this news. I still plan on enjoying this site for another 6 months or so! Have a fab June!!! :-)

Hey Sadie! Sorry it took a while to respond again! I've been bust as usual. Like You, I'm rarely ever online anymore too! So, we both understand! You're So Welcome for catching up!! Thank You for catching up too!! Thanks!!! I wanted to let you know what's been going on with me lately! And wanted to comment on those 3 pictures you posted who recently passed away too! I figured the weather has been pretty bad in my area lately!! :-( It has been raining here too almost every day! I agree, the worst is the thunder and the lightning!!! Always afraid we might lose electricity or worse! I'm Sure you are too!! I'm So Glad to hear that there hasn't been any floods or anything severe there like we both seen on the news in the other states!! At least That!!! YIKES Is Right!!! I feel the same way!!! I also think I'd be locked away in a mental institution if I lost all my stuff like some of the people on TV have!!!! Horrible!!!! That would be my worst nightmare too!!! You're Welcome! I always worry about You when I see those bad weather reports on the TV news!!! Thank You So Much too!! I see you also worry about me when you sometimes hear bad things on the news about New York!!! Well, we both care very much about each other!!! Yes, it is so good that my Mother visits the local senior center and has some friends there!! It's very good for her when she goes!! Yes, socializing Really Does help lift her spirits and takes her mind off of anything bad, and the situation she's in!! Thanks So Much for the Best Wishes with her next appointments!!! Hoping for the Best!! Yeah, my Shrink is planning on finally leaving soon too!! :-( YES, 89 years old!!! I'm also surprised he didn't retire before this!! He has been doing a remarkable job being there and being busy with so many patients for a person his age!! Thanks!!! I'm also, Hoping he will be able to find another Shrink for me!!! I don't Think the one's he knows of will be near by? Most likely will be in NYC like he is. Will see? I Do Hope he can hook me up with someone that is willing to make the occasional phone call session with me, like he has done sometimes when I can't make it to the building in person!!! I can only Hope!!!! I can imagine why you Hate that you have to start all over again with your whole life story to a new stranger who knows nothing about you yet!!!! :-( I'm going to feel the same way, when I get a new Shrink!!! :-( YES, It's gonna be Weird starting from scratch!!! :-( I Really Hope the new one you get Will be professional and kind!!!! Yes, I know that sometimes they have stupid young students in those places, Interns can be Jerks!! :-( Many years ago I've been through that too!!! It SUCKED and I left the place and found a better place to go to!! I Hope you luck out and get a Good One!!!!! BEST WISHES with This!!! Yeah, it is too bad that "Leaving Neverland" isn't available to watch on demand for me anymore!! I'm Hoping I can catch it whenever HBO reruns it one of these days!!! Yes, usually is late at night!! But, once in a while I seen reruns like that around 7 PM. Will see? Yes, it is really hard to believe it's already been a decade!!! I see you clearly remember that day in summer 2009 like it was just yesterday! WOW!! Yes, it sure was a double whammy with Farrah Fawcett dying that same morning too!!! So Strange!!! No, I never seen that recent ABC special called "This is Farrah". I'll have to check to see if it's still available to watch on demand with my cable provider too!! I see you recommend seeing it!! So, I Hope I can see it too!! Thanks for letting me know about it!!! I agree, she was So beautiful and sweet!! It was a Sad Loss!!! I see that the Pictures Feature Here seems to be working again!! Glad to hear it!!! I see you posted another Sad loss!!! Thanks for letting me know!!!

Thanks for posting the photo too!! RIP Bobby Diamond!

Yet another actor who passed away at age 75. Sorry to hear it was from cancer! Sad! I do remember the children's show "Fury"!!! And of course "The Many Loves Of Dobie Gillis"!!! I seem to remember Him!! WOW!! :-(

It was So Great to hear from You again Too, My Friend!!! Don't be sorry that you're rarely ever online anymore!!! The same for me!! I Understand!!! I Really Miss talking to You Too!!! Wish we could Talk more Often!! I Miss participating in This Site and the Beatles site so much too!!! :-( I see that Unfortunately you're not going to participate in them anymore after this year, in order to focus on your nursing career. Yes, I Certainly Understand, My Friend!!!!! But, at the same time I'm Sorry to hear it!!! I see you plan on quitting around Christmas time!! I know what you mean!! Who knows IF this site will still be around in the new decade, 2020 anyway?? But, we Can still talk through e-mail For Sure!!!! Aw!!! I Really Appreciate what you said!!!! You Too Will Always Be My Very Special Friend Forever!!!!!! I am sad over this news!! But, I Certainly Understand!!!! But, at that time, we Can still talk through e-mail!! :-) I'm Glad you still plan on Enjoying this site for another 6 months or so!!!! I Hope we can find the time to catch up as much as we can while you will still be Here!!!!! Thanks for letting me know in advance!!! I Surely Understand!!! Hope we can catch up again sometime Soon!!!! Thanks!!! Hope You have a FAB June Too, My Friend!!!! :-)
