I just discovered this song today! It's called "Summertime", but it's not yet another cover of the old standard one! lol!
I am learning so many other Troggs songs, their singer recently died and that inspired me to get into them more... I only knew "Wild Thing", "Love Is All Around", and "With A Girl Like You" until now! They have so many other good songs! No idea why they never became more popular in the 60s! They were a great band! :)
Off topic: when I logged on there is NO Shout Box on the front page??? :-(((
Could be Charlie Parker? Let me know. ;-)
Cool!! You added more Great Songs! :-)

I briefly mentioned it on the shoutbox over at the BeatlesAbbeyRoad site, but I didn't think anyone cared. LOL!
I enjoyed all the new pictures you recently posted over there!
I actually considered a "sun" theme too, but I thought it would be too similar to the "summer" songs theme we already had! Which I thought of one more song for...

There's also an obscure 60s band called The Pyramids which only released one single... both the A and B side songs have "summer" in the title.
"Summer Of Last Year" and "Summer Evening".

Oh yeah, and how could I forget Rainy Days and Mondays by The Carpenters?
I also thought of "Patches" by Clarence Carter for the name theme (It's a different song from the Dickey Lee one)

"Love In An Elevator" by Aerosmith
"Love In A Trashcan" by The Raveonettes (Also a modern band, but not bad.)
[Sorry if I'm breaking the rules of this site a bit by mentioning a few newer songs. I know everything on here is supposed to be "retro". But I noticed Beatlebob has mentioned some songs by Nirvana and Soundgarden, LOL so it's okay! Most of the songs we mention are oldies anyway. And at least the modern songs I mention sound retro!)
I thought of good ideas for some more song themes!
But since Beatlebob and BeatleGirl aren't here, I'll save them for later!
Come back soon, everyone! :-)
