I Loved that movie because I like race car movies ("The Love Bug", "Thunder Alley", "Hot Rod Girl", etc...) and especially because "Speedway" has 2 of my favorite people in it! LOL! Would be fun to watch it at a drive-in theatre! :-D You said you saw it a long time ago, you should check it out again! :-)

I like race car movies too!! When I lived on Long Island in the 70's I used to soup up my cars. And raced them with other cars on the streets, sometimes. LOL! I liked hot rods and muscle cars in those days. Yeah, I know this movie had 2 of your favorite people in it! :-) Yeah, would be fun to watch it at a drive-in theatre like that picture up top! :-)

If you ever find any old photos of you with cars, or at the fair, we would love to see! It's too bad you don't have a working scanner or digital camera at the moment. I know how you feel. All of my electronics have been breaking down lately (including my record player) and I can't afford to replace them right now :-/

Comment by BeatleBob on April 25, 2014 at 11:27am: Yeah, it was just street racing. LOL! In those days one of my favorite hobbies was buying a car that I wanted to soup up. Souping it up the best I could and enjoying the car and racing it once in a while. Then, after 8 months or longer I would sell the car to make more money on it from Souping the car up. Then buying another Better car to soup up. LOL! I did that for a good few years in the early 70's. ;-) I enjoyed it! Yeah, I love Classic cars and Muscle Cars! I see you like Classic cars too!! They're So Cool!! :-)

Like a dope years ago when I lived in a basement apartment, I put My photos in a cardboard box. We had a major storm and the basement got flooded a bit. The cardboard box was sitting on the floor in my closet. The water ruined almost All of My photos!!! :-(( I think I have one photo left of a 1972 Oldsmobile "442" I had. But, that's it. :-( Only have maybe 3 photos from the World's Fair as far as I know. I'll have to look through my Mother's family photos to see what I can find one of these days.

Yeah, it stinks that I don't have a working scanner or digital camera!! :-(( The few Pics that I posted before, I have on a CD. But, that's about it. I want to save up for a all in one unit, printer, scanner, and copier. Whenever I can get one, I'll go through my Mother's family photos and post some photos I think you guys will like, including any from the World's Fair!! :-) I'm Sorry you know how I feel!! I'm Sorry all of your electronics have been breaking down lately (including your record player) and you can't afford to replace them right now!!! :-((( I sure know how you feel my friend!!! :-((
