This is lovely! Looks like a classic art piece you'd see in a museum! How are you going to celebrate Memorial Day, Beatlebob? Were you ever a veteran or knew someone who was one? My father was but only for a few years. I guess I'll celebrate by watching "The Wackiest Ship In The Army" yet again. I just watched it the other day for Ricky's birthday. I'm always thinking of excuses to watch it again! LOL!!! I should watch John's "How I Won The War" too! :-)

Yeah I Agree, this one is Great!! It Does look like a classic art piece you'd see in a museum!!! :-) I'm sure there will be a couple of movies I can find on TV to watch on Memorial Day!! I was never in the service. In the draft for the Vietnam War, my draft number was 244. They were only drafting people up to number 126 I think at the time? I was so Glad I wasn't drafted!!! The War was Very Unpopular by that time!! A Lot of protests!! And I was against the war too!! I Sure didn't want to go!!! A few of my friends were drafted. One served in Vietnam!! The other two were drafted later and wound up in Reno Nevada serving their time there. I worked with a guy who was a Chopper Pilot in the war. My Father was in World War 2. He served almost 5 years. He was a Sergeant. And was in the Spearhead division behind General Patton's division.

Yeah my dad was stationed in Korea when he was in the army! That must've been a relief to not be drafted! The Vietnam War was horrible and I'm glad you were lucky enough to NOT be a part of it!

Hey Sadie! Thanks for letting me know that your Dad was stationed in Korea when he was in the army!! I guess that was after the Korean War. June 25, 1950 – July 27, 1953. Glad he wasn't in the Korean War!! And that he was just Stationed there!!

It Sure was a Relief not to be drafted in the Vietnam War!!! I think I went out every night for a week straight and got drunk celebrating all that week!!! LOL!! The Vietnam War Sure Was Horrible!!! Thanks My Friend!! I Sure was Glad too, that I was lucky enough to NOT be a part of it!!!!
