RIP Jerry Van Dyke

Actor and brother of Dick Van Dyke has died at age 86

This is my first time posting about a celebrity's death in 2018. I'm so scared to see who else we're gonna lose this year! :-(

Sad news. I liked that short lived TV show he starred in, from the 1960s, called "My Mother, The Car". I also have seen him in a few other shows and movies. Later on in his career he was in a show called "Coach". RIP! It's going to be so sad when Dick Van Dyke goes too. I was just thinking that when Rose Marie recently passed away. :-(

Beatlebob, thanks for letting me know what's been going on with you and the reason why you might not be online for a little while. I surely understand! I still wish you good luck with getting everything straightened out! Sorry to hear you're going through all that trouble! I hope your mother gets well soon! And hopefully the weather where you're at will improve or at least calm down as well. 

On second thought, I think you should just stick with regular cable TV because streaming is a bit confusing. It took me a while to finally get the hang of it. And even then, it still dosen't have any live news channels like real TV does. It's just a good substitute for people like me who can't afford cable at the moment. The only thing I ever really watched on cable was the Turner Classic Movies channel anyway. I like how TCM never played commercials! There's so many advertisements on TV every few minutes! I think it's so annoying! But yeah, besides TCM I enjoy watching some of the same shows you mentioned. Classic sitcoms like Andy Griffith, etc. I watch Law & Order and Blue Bloods all the time, and some other crime shows like CSI, Criminal Minds, etc... but I never watched Golden Girls that much either! Lmao! BeatleNut really likes that show though and she also loves Three's Company. Lately all I've really been watching is Partridge Family DVDs, for about 2 months now. It's about time I start watching other stuff again. LOL!!!

Well I hope to hear from you at least once during the next week... Please let me know how joining the Senior Center and everything goes! Thanks for asking if I'm alright. I am trying to make the best of this new year. I already survived the first week of it and am just hanging in there!

More sad and surprising news, especially since the band are going to be inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame soon. I've been listening to The Moody Blues more often lately. They had alot of good songs but my favorite one is "Go Now".

A few more deaths I heard about:

Donnelly Rhodes, the Canadian actor best known for his roles in Battlestar Galactica and 1970s ABC sitcom Soap, has died aged 80.

John Paul Steuer, best known for his work on "Star Trek: The Next Generation” and “Grace Under Fire,” died on Jan. 1. He was 33.

His death with announced on the Facebook page of his band, P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S. A cause of death has not been confirmed.

RIP to those people.

Hey Sadie! I haven't been on the computer since January 6th. :-( I've been SOOOO Busy!! This past Monday, I joined the Senior Center. It went Alright. The people there were friendly. But, I was just there to try to get help from the Social Worker there. I gave her the application I filled out to join. She signed it and asked me what's going on with my Medicaid. She takes care of a lot of things for people who need help with things like food stamps etc. But, doesn't have too much experience dealing with Medicaid. It Figures!! Anyway, she has One Contact with a person at the "Main Medicaid Office" that she called to help a person who needed help with Medicaid a few months ago. She called him and the phone kept ringing, no answer! She tried calling a couple of other numbers and there was No answer with them too!! She said that's Odd, this never happened in the past! Then she tried a couple of other phone numbers and they were No Help at all!! She said what she usually does with people who need help with a Medicaid problem if she can't help them, is that she calls the Local Council Member's office for our area. She called there and had her speaker phone on, and talked to a woman there and asked her if she could help one of our members (me) with a problem I'm having with Medicaid. She took my name and phone number and told me to call her back at 2 PM. The Social Worker gave me the woman's first name and number so I can call her. And that was the end of my session there at the Senior Center. She said to keep in touch with her and let her know how it's working out,etc. Then I went home. I took care of things here I had to do then I called that woman at the Council Member's office. She said she tried calling her contact at Medicaid a few times and the phone kept ringing and Couldn't get any answer!!! WTF??? She said that this is the First time this happened to her, that she couldn't through to the person!!! She told me she will try again the on Tuesday and also try a couple of other people to call at Medicaid. And to call her back at 3 PM. So, I called her and the Same Thing Happened!!! The phones just kept ringing!! Yesterday she said she is sending her main contact at Medicaid an email as we spoke, and hoping she can get a response doing that. She told me to call her Today at 3:30 PM to see what happened. So, I'll call her later to see what's going on. And if there is still a problem with her getting a hold of someone there, I'll see what the next option is?!?!? This SUCKS!!! In the meantime I've been calling the Medicaid "Helpline" myself trying to get answers about my Medicaid problem!! And they keep telling me to call back in One Week after they sent a message to the Regular Medicaid Office to try to get an answer from someone there!!! And it's hard getting through to the Helpline too!!! Sometimes I get busy signals, other times, a recorded message that says all lines are tied up to try calling again the next day. Once in a while I can get through after calling many times. It's So DAMN Frustrating!!!! :-(

I had an appointment with my Eye Doctor next week. With This going on, I called his office Today and canceled. I told the woman there that I'm having problems with my Medicaid, and I asked her if she could look up my coverage on her computer. She told me to hold on. She got back on the phone and said both my Medicare Part A and Part B is Active. But, my Medicaid is Inactive. So, she said you're right, your Medicaid Isn't Active now!!! :-( So, the problem Continues!!!! IF I can't get any help with that woman from the Council Member's office by the middle of next week, I'm going to go back to the Senior Center again and have that Social Worker there hook with up with our local Congressman's Office to try to get help from them!!!! I have my Shrink appointment Tomorrow, I'm going to call and try to get a phone visit with him. When I talk to my Shrink I'll tell him what's going on and to send my prescriptions to the drug store. Because I'm running low. It's not going to be a good phone call!!! FUN!!!When I call the drug store on Friday, I KNOW they're going to tell me that I don't have coverage to pay for my meds!!! But, I'm going to have to try to buy SOME of the pills to last me for a while, paying FULL price on the credit card!!! :-( Until I can get this mess Straightened out. THIS is HORRIBLE!!! :-(

Between all the phone calls etc, I've been taking care of my Mother and going to the stores for food etc and doing chores that I do here. Rushing to get it done in time to talk to that woman from the Council Member's office!! I'm almost out of Kitty Litter, I just came on the computer now to order some. And I wanted to let you know what's been happening quick!! Because more chores then calling her again after that!! My Mother still has a bad cold!! And her hip is bothering her pretty bad!! FUN!!! My Stomach has been Really Bothering me from ALL this stress!!! I just looked at everything you posted here. Sadly more Deaths, for this year!!! :-( As soon as I get more time I'll comment on the things you posted!!! Thanks So Much for the Good Wishes My Friend!!!!!!! I Really MISS You!!!!! Hey Beatlebob! Good to see you back! Sorry to hear that your mother is still sick though... and you STILL haven't got that Medicaid problem fixed yet?! That sucks!!! My 2018 had a rough start too, but not as bad as you! That's ridiculous how they are still hard to reach, even with the help of that lady from the senior center. Also crazy how you have to cancel appointments and pay for your medication until everything gets squared away! I can imagine your frustration! Hopefully you will FINALLY get it all straightened out SOON!!! I know you probably feel hopeless by now, but I still want to wish you good luck!

Thank you for stopping by, although briefly, to keep me updated. I noticed you weren't online since January 6 or so. But I understand why! Thanks again for letting me know what's been going on with you! I still say have a great week eventhough I know you're not! Besides getting that damn Medicaid issue taken care of, I also hope your stomach ache stops and your cat litter arrives soon. And of course, I hope your mother gets well too!

It's only the second week of January and sadly there's already been some new celebrity deaths. 
In fact, I just heard of two more today:

Motörhead guitarist 'Fast' Eddie Clarke dead  
The last surviving original band member has passed away from Pneumonia at age 67.

He was also a member of the band Fastway.

Although I'm not a big Motorhead fan, I think it's so sad how all three of the original members are now gone. I remember when the other two (drummer Phil Taylor and singer Lemmy Kilmister) both died about a month apart in 2015. Lemmy was a big fan of The Beatles and early rock n roll music. He even saw The Beatles live in 1961 before they were famous!

Original Mouseketeer dead at age 75

Very sad news! She also died from Pneumonia.

She was one of my favorite Mouseketeers.

Annette was my ultimate favorite, of course!

I always loved The Mickey Mouse Club and I'm heartbroken at this news!

Beatlebob, don't worry too much about catching up! There isn't that much to catch up on anyway. I just mentioned a few people who died recently and posted about the recent Elvis Birthday Celebration at Graceland. I appreciate it if you just stop by here every once in a while like you just did. I will try to stop by whenever I can too. I already got my shopping over and done with but still have several appointments to schedule and attend soon. So I might not be on too much next week either. Hey Sadie! I have to call that woman at the Council Member's office back later today, so I've been doing my daily chores early and took a break to get in touch with you!!! It Surely SUCKS that I STILL haven't got my Medicaid problem fixed yet!!! :-( Thanks for All of Your Well Wishes about This and for my Mother Too, My Friend!!!! And for being so Understanding!! My Stomach is Still aching bad from all the Stress. I know you can relate to my frustration!

Anyway, I called that woman at the Council Member's office back on Wednesday. She Finally got in touch with a woman at the Medicaid office. That woman said she doesn't know the reason why my Medicaid Renewal was Lapsed. And doesn't know Why it Was Lapsed. She is turning my Case over to a Supervisor there to see what went wrong, and Hopefully that Supervisor can take care of it!! She said it will probably take a week to get an answer about it. She also, said the reason why even the woman at the Council Member's office couldn't get through to anyone at Medicaid, is because they are so behind taking care of so many cases that many of the case workers there aren't even answering their phones! Anyway, the woman that's helping me from the Council Member's office has a reference number to refer to when calling that woman back about my case to see how things are coming along with my Case! Even though that woman at the Medicaid office said it should take a week with her Supervisor, she is calling her Today to see how things are going. I'm supposed to call her at 2 PM today to see what she said. So, the woman at the Council Member's office is Really Trying to Help Me With This Mess!!! At least That!! I canceled my visit with my Shrink yesterday and got a phone visit with him. I told him all that's going on. And he sent my prescriptions to the drug store. Sometime over this weekend I'll go there and tell the pharmacist about my Medicaid problem. And I Know I'll have to pay Full price for my meds!! :-( But, I need them! In the meantime I've been doing my chores here early so I can be ready to talk to that woman at the Council Member's office, and like yesterday to have that phone visit with my Shrink. I've been running around here like a chicken with it's head off!!! LOL!! Busy with this stuff everyday!! Tomorrow I have Laundry FUN etc too!! Sunday I'll probably go to the Drug Store about my meds. We also need stuff from the store again!! Have to take my Mother to a Podiatrist's office this coming Thursday about her Hip Hurting!! Her Cold is slowly getting a bit better at least!

Hey Sadie! Just dropping by to let you know the latest since Friday. On Friday when I called that woman at our Council Member's office at 2 PM she said the woman at Medicaid said it should take a week before her Supervisor can get to my Case!! FUN!! So, now I have to wait till "Next Friday" to call the woman at our Council Member's office again to see what she found out from that woman at Medicaid!! This SUCKS!!!!!! She also, told me the reason why it was so hard to get through to anyone at Medicaid is because they are so behind taking care of so many cases that many of the case workers there aren't even answering their phones!! I went to the drug store Saturday after Laundry FUN to see IF my prescriptions were filled. And to my Surprise they were. :-) I brought my checkbook with me in case they were turned down from my Part D prescription Plan. But, I remember one of the people from the Medicaid Helpline told me that even though my Medicaid is Lapsed, sometimes the Part D Plan still pays for my meds. As far as I know my Part D bills my Medicare and Medicaid towards the meds. But, who knows what will happen when my Part D Plan doesn't get a payment from Medicaid?? Will just have to wait and see what happens with them?? Hopefully nothing will happen with my Part D Plan!!! Maybe they try to bill them again at a later time? But, at least I got my Meds for now!! So, will see what happens on Friday when I talk to that woman at our Council Member's office again!!! Will keep you posted when I know more!!! This is ALL So Damn CRAZY!!!!!! :-(

With my Mother, from her cold she has for a good while now, she developed a bad rash between her nose and her top lip. It's dry and red and it itches like crazy! I have to go with her to her Dermatologist this Wednesday to see what he can prescribe for it. Then the following day on Thursday I go with her to that other Doctor about her Hip. And both of those Doctors are located at the Hospital we go to. A Long Trip! FUN week for the both of us!! Been Busy here taking care of things and going to the stores etc.

Weather wise, it will reach a high of 32 here Today. Starting Tomorrow it will be about 30 and below that for the rest of the week. It's supposed to snow here Tomorrow night into Wednesday. FUN!!! They say we Might get between 2 to 5 inches or so. Who knows? And Wednesday is that Dermatologist visit. Will be a FUN trip there, being we have to be there at 10 AM!! This weather is DAMN Crazy!!!!

That's the latest here! I Know you still have several appointments to schedule and attend soon!! I Know you'll have a busy week too!!! I Hope the weather There won't be that bad!!!

Just had some time to stop by and tell you the latest, so far. I'm Hoping I can find some time to comment on ALL the stuff you posted here!!!!!!! I just don't know when, yet? I Sure Hope my Medicaid Mess get's straightened out ASAP so, I can be on Here more often again!!! I Hope you understand!!!!

Sad news! Especially since she was only 46! Too young to go!!! I always liked the songs "Zombie" and "Linger". Two of the best songs from the 1990s. It is still undisclosed how she died, but I'll post any further updates later.

Hey Beatlebob! Thanks for letting me know the latest news with you! I still haven't gotten around to scheduling my appointments yet! The weather has been awful over here!! So I'm gonna wait a little while longer. Hopefully by February it will warm up at least a bit, and that will make things so much easier. It's hard for me to even go outside to check the mail anymore in that freezing cold weather with all that damn snow & ice! Ugh!!! That really is crazy what's been going on with your Medicaid! Sorry to hear it's still not totally straightened out yet! But it sounds like you're getting closer!! Glad you were still able to get your medicine! Did you have to pay for that phone visit with your shrink? The fact that he is willing to do phone therapy with you sometimes is great! Mine, like most, are in person appointments only. 

Yes, it's sad news about that Mickey Mouse Club kid Doreen! I just posted a photo and some more information about her in the pictures section. Don't worry about catching up with everything I have posted on this site. It would be nice though, if you still want to, whenever you have the time. It's so good to hear from you again, my friend! I really miss you! I haven't had anyone to talk to lately since BeatleNut has been sick and busy for the past few days and Ann is still ignoring me, as of around Easter 2017. Sadly I think she forgot all about us and the sites. I doubt that she will finally return in 2018, or ever again! I officially give up! :-(

If it makes you feel any better, my new year hasn't been going good so far either. This morning I got a scary call saying that I was being sued for not paying some old advance checking loan I got in 2016. Omg! I just forgot all about that! At one point I had so many different checking loans out at the same time that I lost track! I had to constantly borrow money every month just to pay all my bills. Now I'm in a better financial situation than back then but I still struggle sometimes! It's even a bit difficult for me to pay this back but I have to! I am relieved that they agreed to just let me pay back the $375 in two separate payments after I reasoned with them on the phone. It's gonna leave me nearly broke next month but I'd rather do that than go to court!!! I had to go to court before for a medical bill that I thought was paid but wasn't and it was so stressful!!! I hate court!!!! Who dosen't?? LOL!!! 

I had a painful cold sore / rash type thing in that same area on my face as your mother does last year and it hurt like hell!!! It took a long time for it to finally fade away too! Hopefully her Dermatologist can help! I just waited and mine eventually went away. Good luck with her hip doctor too. Seems like something's always wrong with her! But she's elderly so that's understandable! I'm always praying for you two! :-)

Omg, I just did some online research and I think that phone call I got the other day about owing money was just a SCAM!!! Too bad I already gave them some personal information like my social security number. Oh no!!!! I think I only gave out the last four digits of it though. I almost got scammed a few years ago from Craigslist when someone gave me a fake check. Thank goodness the bank understood the situation and believed me! It was still scary though!! I hope I won't have to go through that crap all over again! Like The Beatles song "I Should've Known Better"! I wish I would have just hung up. I'm relieved the card number I gave them was just a debit card that will never have any money in it unless I put some on it, so if it really is a scam, they can't take any money out of me at least!! I just hope they're not using my personal information towards signing me up for more credit or something. UGH! I got a fake letter in the mail recently saying that I own vehicle and it needs payment. LOL!!! I've never even had my name put down on a car before. The letter looked so real though that I got scared for a minute and thought maybe someone else put my name on a car title or something. I hate these stupid scam artists!!!!! One day I even got a call saying "Congratulations! You won a trip to Disney Land!", we just need your credit card number first. Obviously I didn't fall for that one. LMAO!!!

Hey Sadie!! It's So Good to hear from you!! I'll start by commenting on the last post, you posted Today!! Do you have any paperwork from that Particular old advance checking loan you got in 2016? If you don't have the paperwork from That one, do you remember the Name of the place that you got that old advance checking loan from? If not, when you got that phone call from them the other day, did they mention the Name of the Place you got That loan from when you talked to them? I'm Sure they must have. If you know the name of That place do some more online research about them!! To see if they are a Scam! Also, look for the Main Phone Number of that place Online!! And Not from an "Ad" online about that place but, from the Actual Website of That place. "Some" Ad's online for places are Scams!!Once you have that phone number, Call Them!! Call them and see if it was paid off. This way you'll be sure this Is Not A Scam!!!

If it's Not a Scam at least it's good that they agreed to just let you pay back the $375 in two separate payments after you reasoned with them on the phone!! I'm Sure it's a bit difficult for you to pay this back but you have to!! I can imagine it's gonna leave you nearly broke next month, but I'm sure you rather do that, than go to court!!! After your online research and calling the Main Phone Number of that Place. IF this was Truly a SCAM, call your Bank and tell them what happened, maybe they can stop the payment from that debit card. Or, at least be able to track it, and notify the authorities!! And then have the bank issue you a New Different Debit Card!!

We also get Fake letters in the mail and fake phone calls too!!!! It Happens all the time to everyone!!!!! You have to be Very Careful with these Damn Scam Artists!!!! Most of them are Obviously Scams!!! But, some may trick you!!! I had a call from Microsoft about my computer being infected with a Dangerous Virus!! They wanted all kinds of information from me and were going to send me an email with a Fix for the virus to load on my computer!! LOL!!!!! Yeah Right!!!! LOL!!! I just hung up on the guy!!! And that happened to me Twice!!! If I didn't know any better, he was very convincing!!! Before I hung up on that person, I asked him what version of Windows I had on my computer. He said Windows 8. I still have Windows Seven!!! I told him never call here again and hung up!!! It SUCKS that these Scammers are out there!!!!! :-( I Hope ALL will go Okay with the Phone Call you got the other day!!!!!!

Yeah, I found this: "Scotland Yard announced Wednesday that the singer’s death was being treated as “non-suspicious.” A statement from Westminster Coroner’s Court is expected on Friday morning.

So will see why she passed away at such a young age soon I guess. Sad!!! RIP Dolores O'Riordan

It's even hard for you to even go outside to check the mail anymore, in that freezing cold weather with all that damn snow and ice!!! Sounds Bad There!!! :-( YES!!! Sure has been CRAZY what's been going on with my Medicaid!!! Never had it this Bad with them before this time!!! Have to call that woman tomorrow again at the Council Member's office, to see if Anything was Straightened Out Yet!!! Will see???? Yes, Hopefully it's getting closer to being straightened out!!! Thanks!!! I'm Glad I was able to get my medicine too!!! I don't know yet if I'll have to pay my Shrink for the phone visit with him? It all depends IF my Medicaid get's straightened out!! It usually takes time till Medicare and Medicaid finally pays him after he submits the bill to them. If and when my Medicaid get's Fixed it will be retroactive back to the beginning of January. So, he will eventually get paid. IF for any reason my Medicaid won't get fixed, I'll have to arrange to make a payment to him. Yeah, I Really Appreciate the fact that he is willing to do phone therapy with me sometimes!!! He's a Real Nice Person!!! Yes, I Know Most are Always in Person appointments only, like Yours!! He's the First Shrink that I've seen out of the one's I've seen in the past who does this with me sometimes!! I'm Glad about that!!!

Yes, it sure was Sad news about that Mickey Mouse Club kid Doreen!! Thanks for posting a photo and some more information about her in the pictures section!!! I'll check it out!!! I see you had a painful cold sore / rash type thing in that same area on your face as my mother does last year and it hurt like hell!!! Sorry to hear that!!! :-( And it took a long time for it to finally fade away!! :-( Well, we went to the Dermatologist yesterday and he sent two prescriptions to the drug store for her. One for that area on her Face. And one for a large red sore she has on her ankle too. The drug store had to order the prescription ointments and I'll pick them up later. I Hope they will Work!!! I see you just waited and yours eventually went away! She had this for awhile now, and that's why we went to the Dermatologist! The weather was a bit nasty yesterday, but we made it there in time. It took forever in the waiting room though. Oh well. Thanks for the Good Luck Wishes with her Hip Doctor Too!! But, she canceled the appointment when we got home yesterday. For the past 4 days her Hip hasn't been bothering her anymore. Plus, she is beat from yesterday and didn't want to travel back today again to the same area!! If it starts acting up again, she will make another appointment!! Yeah, she does have a lot of physical problems!! And something is always wrong with her!! :-( Yes, she's elderly so that's understandable!!! So many of her friends her age have so many physical problems too. Just the way it is. Thanks My Friend!!!! Thanks for stopping by to catch up! Whenever I don't hear from you in a while, I start to get worried! Especially with your elderly mother's decline in health! It's always a relief and nice to hear from you too... even when things aren't going too good. I still want to be updated. And whenever I'm down, you always manage to pick me up... at least somewhat! Like when we lost David Cassidy! Thank you so much! :-)

As for what's new with me... the weather has improved here a bit, so I've finally scheduled the first of my overdue appointments. I'll be going to the Eye Doctor on Friday the 26th. I'm glad that this time it should be quick and easy since the center is located right here in town and all I'll be doing is choosing a frame for my new glasses. My last visit to an Eye Center, which was a few months ago, took a few hours. It was a long road trip all the way to another city and I had to get a full exam. It was the only way to get a written prescription though, because the local Eye Doctor that I've been visiting for many years, just all of a sudden dropped my particular insurance. They will still give me new glasses, but not an exam. Weird! But look at what happened with you and Medicaid recently. I just don't understand the way health care coverages work anymore! Confusing! But maybe it's not such a surprise afterall, with a quack like Trump in charge now. We should actually consider ourselves lucky that we're even getting health insurance anymore! He obviously prefers the wealthy and probably thinks us people who can't afford medical are "shitholes". LMAO!!! I still can't believe he said that about some countries! I can't help but laugh at him sometimes! I never thought we'd ever have such an immature President! And right after Obama, who I thought was one of the best Presidents ever! Oh how I miss him!

As for that phone call I recently got, I still think it was just a scam. It scared me so much though! I was even in tears when they threatened to take legal action against me!!! They claimed to be from a company called "Advance America". I believed it at first because I spoke to several different people and they kept putting me on hold with convincing sounding background noises and music. It sounded just like a real hotline! But shortly afterwards, I became skeptical because the phone number that called me did not match up with my local "Advance America" office. I also grew suspicious when they said within a few minutes that they weren't going to sue me anymore, if I would just start paying it off right then. Since I got so many loans in the past with a couple different companies I'm not 100% sure, but I thought I already paid back that particular loan years ago!
So I started doing a little online research. I immediately came across a page that described what happened to me in pretty much exact detail! Even down to the term "good faith deposit", which I remember them saying on the phone. Another dead giveaway was how that page about Advance America Scams (CLICK HERE) said that checking loan places can't even sue you. It's against their policy. That was enough for me to believe it was most likely bullshit and not much to worry about! Even if they try using my personal information to sign me up for more credit or something, they probably won't be able to. Since they're not really me, and I'm already in debt with PayPal Credit! LOL!!!!

Too bad it was already too late though, by the time I realized, they had already successfully tricked me into giving out some personal information and a debit card number. I'm still paranoid at the idea that they now know my info!!! I got an e-mail shortly after that call saying there was an attempted transaction on my debit card but it was declined due to lack of funds in the card. HA!!! At least those bastards couldn't completely fool me! I've decided not to do anything else about this situation. If they ever call me again, which they haven't done yet, I just won't pick up the phone. And of course, I won't be using that particular card anymore. I hardly ever use it anyway. The Craigslist scam I experienced a few years ago was crazy too! I already heard some bad stories about that site but gave it a chance anyway. I have not been back to Craiglist (not even to browse local items to buy) since 2014, when the incident occurred. Someone sent me a check in the mail for $2 thousand dollars eventhough the TV I put up for sale was listed for only $100. They said they wanted me to cash that check (which looked legit but turned out to be fraudulent) and send nearly all of the money back so they could use it towards getting a moving company to come pick up the TV for them. They said they were in the US Marine Corps and were in California so they couldn't come pick it up. I thought it was strange how someone all the way in another state would be interested in buying my TV and paying so much for it when it wasn't worth anywhere near that much. That's when it all hit me. Sure enough, when I researched Craigslist scams, I compared the message I recieved to the example on the page and it was almost exact word for word. LOL!!! It also said that Craigslist scammers usually send postal checks that far exceed the amount of the item up for sale. That's when I knew for sure!!! They almost fooled me though. I'm relieved that I realized what was going on just in time. Same with the phone scam! I also know when emails and letters in the mail are scams too. Glad you didn't fall for that Microsoft one! Like The Who song, we "won't get fooled again"! LOL!!!!

But enough of that, I want to say Thanks for commenting on the Elvis Presley and Mickey Mouse Club pictures that I posted! I actually don't really know who Greta Thyssen and Jean Porter are, but they both do look a bit familiar!

That is sad! Parkinson's disease is awful! Poor Neil Diamond! It will be sad to see Elton John stop performing soon too. It feels like we're starting to lose all the legendary artists lately. But that's how life is! :-(

Beatlebob, it's been several days since I last heard from you and I hope to finally hear from you again sometime soon!!! Here's another reminder not to try catching up on everything I've posted while you were gone. I'd appreciate it if you just let me know that you read at least some of it! And again, apologies if I posted a bit too much. I was just bored and lonely. LOL! But now that BeatleNut is back on Facebook after a short hiatus I have someone else to talk to again. Yesterday I tried to contact Ann on Instagram. I doubt she will respond, since she always ignores me on FB, but it didn't hurt to try. I remember she was on some sort of site about Photoshop or something. Was it called Fiverr? I'm not sure and can't really remember exactly what it was but if later on I do, we could try to find and contact her over there too. But it looks like she's inactive all over the Internet (other than still listening to Spotify), so I'm not getting my hopes up too high of her return in 2018. One of the main things I wanted to ask her is if she had any idea if and when the Retro Sugar and Beatles Abbey Road sites will end?? It would help us be more prepared! Oh well... Nobody's been over at the Beatles site lately except for me and Mike Pell. He just left you a few new comments over there, by the way. And I posted some news on there about Paul McCartney. But don't worry about catching up on the Beatles site either! I know you've been very busy. We surely understand! I miss you! Hope everything is alright and that you will come back soon!!!
