Yes, we Both Hate Winter!! LOL!!!! WOW!!! It was only 18 degrees on Christmas day where you are!! And on the 26th the temperature dropped down even lower to 11°F, and today it's only 6°F!!! WOW!!!! That Sure IS COLD!!!! :-( Much worse than it is by me!! I'm Sure you'll definitely be staying indoors for the next few days until Friday!! And I see you have no choice but to brave bad weather to get some things you need on Friday, since the buses don't run on weekends!!! Oh What FUN , my friend!! :-( So Sorry to hear that!!! Yeah, it is blistering cold in New York too!! Only in the low 20's during the day here and the wind chill factor makes it even worse!!! Will be that way for this week and part of next week until the temps rise a bit!!! Not FUN at all!!! :-( You Better Bundle up on Friday and be Careful!!! That's dangerous weather to be out in!!!

I used to Enjoy Christmas music when I was living on Long Island being with family and friends! But, mainly for the past 20 years or so Christmas music has always made me sad too!! Yes, even with the old standards like Chestnuts roasting on a open fire, etc!! LOL!! :-( I could never get in the holiday spirit for many years now, and especially not this year!!! :-( I'm So Glad it over with too!! I also, can't wait for New Years Eve to be over with!!! I see you also don't have a good feeling about 2018!! Now that Ann doesn't talk to us anymore, and because the sites could finally shut down, etc!!! :-( So Many Things!!! :-( YES!!!!! But, like John & Yoko said in their Christmas song, "Let's Hope it's a good one, without any fear!!" :-) Yes, let's Hope!!!! :-) Thanks for reminding me about that song!!! :-)

Yeah, at least on Christmas day it was a calm one at home, just tried to relax and talked to some family on the phone!! I'm So Sorry your Christmas day was so upsetting for you!!! :-( Thanks My Friend!!! I'm Hoping the health care coverage mess will be taken care of soon!!!! Yes, you know my frustration!!! Those hotlines are Horrible to deal with!!!! And we Both know most of the time they can't even help you!!! I Wish there was an office that wasn't too far away where I can go in person to talk to a real live person about my problem!!! There used to be one in the Bronx, that I used to go too. It was still a long bus ride to get there but, at least it was in the Bronx!! Around 10 years ago that office closed down!!! Now the only one I could go to is Far away in NYC!! It's a lot further away than where my Shrink's office is!! And it's a Mad House!!! It's always Packed to the hilt with people and there are longs lines you have to wait on outside of the building before you can even get in the building!! You have to wait for hours on line!! When you get up to the desk they give you a ticket with a number on it. You have to try to find a place to sit down and wait till someone calls your number that's on the ticked before you can actually talk to someone!! Sometimes, people wait there all day, and get told to go home because office hours are almost over!!! Sometimes it takes a couple of days going through That before you get a chance to talk to someone there!! I'm Sure NOT going through That HELL!!!! That's why I try doing it on the phone!! They helped me last year after calling a few days, on the phone. But, this year seems Much Worse than it used to be trying to get to talk to someone who can actually help me!!! But, I'll keep trying!!! FUN!!!! Thanks for the suggestion, though! And Thanks for wishing me Good Luck with this!!

WOW!!! Thanks for sharing your Casey Kasem autograph!!! :-) I see you had it since 2001. Still COOL to have even though you didn't meet him in person!! I see you just wrote him a letter saying how you enjoyed his voice work on the Scooby Doo cartoon and his radio shows too. And to your surprise, he sent you back 2 personalized signed photos in the mail, and for free!!!! That Sure was Nice of him to do!!! That's Great!!! :-) Yeah, back in 2001 he was healthier and still signing autographs for people. Sadly his health really deteriorated later on! :-( When he developed Parkinson's disease and dementia he wasn't signing autographs anymore. So SAD!! :-( I'm Sure you were very saddened to hear of his death in 2014!! I can imagine you're Glad that you'll always have this special item to remember him by!!!

I Love It!!! It's So COOL!!! Sad that one of them got a bit stained somehow. But, they Still look Great!!! I see that the photo of him is not personalized, it's just his name. But the Cartoon one has your real life name, (AMY) as you weren't known by "Sadie" back then. LOL!!!! ;-) That's So Cool that he wrote Shaggy's signature catchphrase "Zoinks!" on it too!!! I see what he wrote just fine!!! That's So COOL!!!!!! :-) Something you have to cherish from him!!!!

I thought it was a few years ago, but found out it was actually only one year ago that she died.
Thanks for the picture of her! And for providing the name and photo of "Alfie Curtis", and that Julie Andrews pic. She still looks great! :-)

Wow! I see why you wouldn't want to go through all that trouble trying to get in touch with a real person regarding your Medicaid problem! That's probably why the office that was located closer to you closed down. So many people waiting for such long periods of time! That's awful! Alot of places are like that, including many hospitals and DMV offices. It sucks! Especially for super inpatient people with social anxiety like me!!! LOL!!!
Good luck with that! I hope you finally get it squared away soon. Maybe they're just harder to reach right now during the holiday season? Just keep on calling and hoping for the best! :-)

I'm glad you enjoyed seeing my Casey Kasem autograph! I had it stored away for many years and it was in perfect condition until recently when one of the pictures unfortunately got stained. Coffee must have spilled on it or something. Probably happened while I was moving everything out of my old home in a hurry. Oh well, at least the cartoon one still looks fine. That one is my favorite! It really is something to cherish forever! And I value it even more now that he is no longer with us.

Yes, it was heartbreaking when both Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher died exactly one year ago!
I remember tearing up a bit when I heard about Debbie Reynolds' passing. She was always one of my favorite classic actresses! And she was an avid collector like me. She had a very impressive collection of Hollywood memorabilia! I figured it would take a big toll on her already frail health after her daughter died, and that she wouldn't have much longer to live, but I still didn't expect it to happen so soon! The very next day!!! How shocking and sad!!! Another sad anniversary that now comes around this time of year. But it's also beautiful and comforting, how they are together forever. :-)

I'm glad you can relate to how sad it is when nearly everything seems like a constant reminder of tragedy! For a little while after David Cassidy died, I couldn't even bring myself to come online. It was very difficult for me to even post a picture on this site and write RIP. I do it all the time for other people but it felt so painful that time because besides Paul & Ringo he was my favorite living person!!! :-(   I knew the news and tributes would be all over the Internet and I didn't even want to see it. So I took a computer break for about 2 weeks. It was bad enough that I was constantly Googling his name every few hours or so while he was in the hospital anxiously waiting for any updates, all the while in fear that it would eventually say he passed away. And then there was that horrible hoax, that I almost believed. Word got around that he died 2 days before he really did. Even his official Wikipedia page said so! That scared me so much!!! It was all so confusing and devastating to me! But I never gave up hope and kept on praying for him until the very end, eventhough some people kept telling me that he probably wouldn't make it and that I should just let go. Even when it was said to be officially confirmed I was still hoping it to be a hoax. But then when I saw it on TV, I knew it had to be true. I was afraid it would show up all over my Facebook, and it did, especially because I'm a member of many groups about him & The Partridge Family and retro stuff over there. God I am so glad that mess is all over with! I've felt so empty inside ever since but I'm trying my best to keep it together and not to think of 2017 as the year I lost him, but as the year that I gained another angel, another one to add to the long list of people I love that are in heaven. :-)

On a lighter note, thanks for sharing the New Years Photoshops! I see you actually did find the time to touch them up a bit in Photoshop, and post them over at the Beatles site too. Great!! It's good to see Mike Pell back over there too!

They told me to join the Medicaid Pay In Program to send my payments to, that I have to pay to Medicaid and gave me an application packet to join. Then wished me luck! I used to go there in the beginning of the month to make my payments and went there other times when I ran into any problems with Medicaid too!! Going There made it Much easier to get any problems straightened out!! I Really Miss That Place being there!! :-( Since then I had to call by phone to try to straighten out any problems with Medicaid! And it's been a Nightmare every time!!! :-( Yeah, so many people waiting for such long periods of time at places like that!!! Sure is Awful!! RIP Rose Marie

Broadway and television actress, best known for her role as Sally Rogers on "The Dick Van Dyke Show," died Thursday. She was 94.

Aww what a sad way to end this already sad year!! It came as a bit of a shock to me as I've been following her official Facebook & Twitter page for several months now and it even posted something just a few hours before the news broke out that she passed away. Not sure if those sites are run by her management team or something, or if it was really her posting (considering not too many people in their 90s have online social media) but anyhow I'm really gonna miss her posts. I think Dick Van Dyke is the only living cast member from the show now? So sad how we now have lost both Mary Tyler Moore and Rose Marie in the same year. I Loved her funny sarcastic character on The Dick Van Dyke Show and I also remember her as a regular on The Doris Day Show and a frequent guest star on various other classic shows. She was also a child star like Shirley Temple, under the name "Baby Rose Marie". Amazing how she was one of the last surviving stars from the vaudeville era. Wow what a long career she had! Rest In Peace Rose Marie! 

Beatlebob, thanks for commenting me back on the Beatles site! Thanks for the best wishes for my traveling outside in this stupid season. It was actually better weather where I'm at today, in the 30's. I hope it stays that way when I go out shopping. It gets so cold in my area every winter, it's even been below negative 10 degrees Fahrenheit before with over six inches of snow! Crazy!!! The city bus won't run on Monday either because of New Years Day, and it's too slippery & icy outside to try walking anywhere over the weekend, so I've got to stock up on some stuff! Oh what fun it is having no car! Same with the Laundry "fun" you have to do soon. LOL!!!! Thanks! I will definitely try to be careful out there! :-)

Yeah, just reflecting back on that David Cassidy dilemma brought back such bad memories! It was so awful!!! You may have noticed that I usually just briefly post a picture and/or video with a bit of information about people who pass away under this particular topic but for certain special ones I also post a photo of them in the pictures section with more extensive information and discussion. It felt so weird writing RIP David Cassidy! I still don't like saying it! :-(

The same thing sadly happened with Tom Petty. There were many conflicting reports and everyone was so confused. Usually when someone is hospitalized in critical condition there's a slim chance of survival and not much hope, but I still think it's in bad taste to start posting that they have passed away before it's been officially confirmed. That really hurts their family, friends, and fans! It's one of the only bad things about the Internet in this day and age of rapid news reports & hoaxes! Like I said before, I am so glad 2017 is almost over and done with!!!

I've decided today that if anything does indeed happen to this site and the Beatles one soon, I will try to make another similar one, like I did with that "Beatlemania" site on Spruz when the "MyBeatleSpace" one shut down. Facebook sucks! If I were you, I wouldn't even bother joining it again!! The main reason I keep it is to stay in touch with BeatleNut9, and Ann if she (although doubtful) ever contacts me again. I've even already started searching around for any free or affordable "social network" style hosting networks for the new site, which is going to be a cool mix of both The Beatles & retro stuff. So don't worry, my friend! Hopefully we'll still have a place in cyber space to hang out!! :-)

Hey Beatlebob. Sorry I had to be the one to break the sad news to you that Rose Marie passed away. I remember her from the Hollywood Squares show too! Yes, she was a child star long before she gained fame on The Dick Van Dyke Show. Not too many people know that. Even I didn't, until recently. I am glad that her daughter and management team are going to keep her social media sites up and running. It still won't be the same without her input though. She will be missed. 

Here is what her official Facebook page said today...There is a new documentary out now about her life and career called "Wait For Your Laugh". I am glad that she was around to see it be released, in her final months. It's playing in select theaters, including one in Kansas City near me. I wish I could go see it but I can't really go anywhere in this stupid weather! 

Aww thanks for all the kind words!! It really cheered ME up!!! When you said I'm the best and your hero, that put a big smile on MY face! You are too sweet, Beatlebob! I took into consideration that you weren't too fond of nor familiar with how to use Facebook. Neither am I! And anyway, the experience over there won't be like having our own website. The only free one I've found so far is called Jimdo. It also has paid plan options with more features, bandwidth, domain address, etc... but it's not much of a difference from the free plan and I probably can't even afford the lowest priced paid version, since they bill it all in one big annual rate instead of small monthly ones! But I will definitely be making a new site if and when anything happens to this one and/or the Beatles one. It might not be as fun and we won't be able to post as many pictures but I promise it will still be better than nothing!

Hey Sadie! Don't be sorry about letting me know the sad news that Rose Marie passed away!! I wouldn't have known about it without you letting me know!! I appreciate that you often post about famous people that passed away, even though it's Sad news!!! I watch the News on TV to see what's happening. Because I trust them more than what you read on the internet. Sometimes I miss hearing about people that recently passed away, on the TV news. It depends on what channel I'm watching at the time. And I don't watch the News for many hours at a time. If it weren't for You I wouldn't know who passed away, unless I happened to catch it on TV!! I Really Appreciate that you make the RIP posts in the "Rest In Peace" section here!! Sad News, Yes! But, at least I get to know about them!!! I think it's Great that there is a new documentary out now about her life and career called "Wait For Your Laugh"!! I'm also glad to hear that she was around to see it be released, in her final months!! I see it's playing in select theaters, including one in Kansas City near you. I'm Sure you Wish you could go see it, but you can't really go anywhere in this stupid horrible weather!!! :-( Hopefully it will be playing again sometime in a theater near you!!! And if not, Hopefully it will out on DVD later on so you can see it online somehow!! Maybe it will be even shown on PBS someday!! If so, I'd like to see it too!! But, since there's not much of a difference between the free plan and the lowest priced paid version. By All Means go for the FREE version!!!! I don't have much time online today to comment back on every single one, so I'll just answer some of your comments here... Martha Hyer was an actress. She was in many classic movies, such as "Sabrina" with Audrey Hepburn & Humphrey Bogart. You've probably seen her before and just don't remember her at the moment. I'm not sure what year that Gloria DeHaven picture is from either, but it could possibly be from 1956 since the other New Years Eve picture of her that I shared was from '55? I thought the one with Mamie Van Doren was cute too. Funny how the little dog had a New Years hat on too! LOL!!! I also thought the transparent clock in the Jayne Mansfield one was cool and unique! And that one of Barbara Eden is one of my favorites too. It's a little sad though, since it looks so festive but '63 turned out to be a sad year with the Kennedy assassination.

Yes, I am going to just wait for that new Rose Marie documentary to come out on DVD or TV. Anyway, it will be sad watching it so soon after her passing and I don't really go to the movie theater that much anymore. Mainly because it's so high priced these days and I'd rather just wait a little while longer and rent movies to watch in the comfort of my own home anyway.

I'm relieved to see that it's January and both the sites are still here! I just wonder how long they will last?? I'm not going to make another site until they do go away. Thanks My Friend!!! Happy New Year!!! Thanks for hoping 2018 is going better for me already!!! But, unfortunately it hasn't!!! I was on the phone Yesterday for a long time till I reached a person on the Medicaid Helpline. She said my medicaid renewal lapsed!!!!! I was in Shock!!!! I told her I called last week and the person said it's still being worked on and to call again in a week. Now this woman said it Lapsed?!?! WTF??? I asked her what does that mean?? She just said it seems that it was Lapsed!! I told her I filled it out the same way as previous years and sent it out in September. She said yes, it was received in October. I told her I have a Doctor visit next week and need my prescriptions filled!! She said she doesn't know why it Lapsed? She typed in a request on her computer to the people at the Medicaid office to see what is happening with my renewal. And gave me a reference number for the request she sent them. She said to call back in One week, and when I speak to a representative at the Helpline to give them that reference number, to see if it was answered and what's going on!!! After that call I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown!!! I had problems with them in the past with my medicaid renewals each year, but never had This Happen!!! So, right now I don't have my Health coverage!!! And I have my Shrink visit next Thursday and need my Meds!!! :-( As far as I know I Only have my Medicare coverage in case I winded up in the ER. So, I have no choice now except to join my Mother's Senior Center to get help with this from a woman there!! I have to join to be able to have her help me!! My Mother is at the senior center today and is picking up an application for me to fill out to join the center. My Mother called there yesterday after this all happened and talked to that woman and set up an appointment for me to see her on Monday. FUN!!!! I'm just Hoping she Will be able to Help me with This Mess!!!! IF she can, it will probably take time. I don't know what I'm going to do about my Shrink visit and my prescriptions next Thursday??? My Part D prescription plan won't pay for my meds if I'm not on "Medicaid" along with Medicare!! I would have to pay the Full price of my meds!!!! YIKES!!!!!! I can't afford that!!!! I'm a Nervous Wreck!!!!! Plus my Shrink accepts my Medicare and Medicaid for my visit with Him!!! Those Assholes at Medicaid really messed me up This Year!!!!! I hate that I have to join the senior center to try to get help with this!!!! That's going to be nerve racking too for me!!! But, I have to!!! I HOPE that woman there Can Help straighten this out!!!!! Will see????

The day before yesterday, my Mother was trying to look for a movie to watch on one of the premium channels we have with our Cable TV plan. Our Cable TV package has HBO, Showtime, Starz, and Straz/Encore. Out of nowhere without any notice, they dumped "Starz and Starz/Encore" channels from our package!!!!! That's a total of 15 channels we don't get anymore!!! They replace those channels with Only 4 Lame channels to watch Crappy movies on!!!! And they are Only going to give us a tiny partial month refund for Losing "Starz and Starz/Encore" on next month's bill!!! Then they will keep charging us the same amount we have been paying on the monthly bills after that, for replacing "Starz and Starz/Encore" with those Lousy 4 channels they added!!! The Nerve Of Them!!!! They Know we can't do anything about it!!!! Except drop down to a lower TV package with a lot of less channels, that I notice they just raised the price of those packages, when I looked them up on the Internet!!! :-( UNREAL!!! The only other choice we would have is to go with Verizon FIOS TV, and they are Much more expensive with less choices!!!! These Cable TV companies SUCK!!!!!!! Both Me and my Mother were So Pissed Off about this!!!! We are paying a lot of money for the Cable TV package each month!!! Along with my Internet from them!! We can't Stream movies because my Mother's Big OLD TV in the living room isn't equipped for it!! Doesn't have any HDMI ports etc!!! And my Mother wants to be able to watch her TV programs and watch some movies sometimes too. So, All we have now is HBO and Showtime for the premium channels. And will have to pay the same price as we were paying! It's So Unfair!!! :-(

So, Two days ago That Crap happened with our Cable TV!!! And Yesterday the SHIT Hit The Fan with Medicaid for Me!!!!! So far 2018 SUCKS!!!!! :-( I'm So Pissed Off, and So Worried about my Health Care Coverage!!!! It's a Nightmare!!! Hey Beatlebob! Thanks for stopping by to catch up! Sorry to hear you're not having a Happy New Year so far though! OMG!!! That sucks you couldn't get help with your health care problem eventhough you've been trying all this time, it still lapsed! WTF??? Bastards!!! I hope your Plan B of joining the senior center works out. Hopefully you will find a solution soon, so you won't have to cancel all your upcoming appointments and all. Good luck with that!

That also sucks how your cable company dropped and replaced some of the best channels! I know cable TV service is super expensive. At one point, I was paying $200 a month for it and I did so for over a year until I realized I should just switch to streaming instead. I've been doing that since 2011 and have saved so much money since then. I have "Netflix" and "Hulu" which are much more affordable and similar enough to substitute for cable TV, in my opinion. I had 2 HDTV's, a big and a small one, that both broke down on me though. So I can't stream on them anymore. I'm back to my old standard definition television sets until I can upgrade again. I mostly just watch DVDs anyway. I think you and your mother would enjoy Netflix and/or Hulu (which you can also watch on the computer) if you don't want to pay for regular cable anymore. You can even watch those streaming services on old standard TV's, but you would need to hook up a device first. The one that worked for me was called "Roku 2". I bought it at Walmart in person for under $100 but that was a few years ago. I don't think they even sell that one in stores anymore, because it's outdated and comes with the three colored cords to plug into old TV's. The "Roku" devices have upgraded alot since then and now work with HDMI ports, etc. You can probably still find that particular older model online though. I think the model called "Roku Express" (which is still sold in Walmart stores for only $30!!) also works with older television sets too. I recommend doing a bit of research online if you're interested in getting one. And I suggest buying it brand new and not refurbished! I've had mine since 2014 and it still works like a charm! I really like how the remote control has a headphone jack in it! That's a handy feature. Whether you switch to streaming or decide to keep cable TV, but find a lower priced basic cable provider or plan, good luck with that too! What stuff do you and your mother like to watch? :-)

I see you had 2 HDTV's, a big and a small one. But, so Sorry to hear they both broke down!!! So, now you can't stream "Netflix" and "Hulu" on them anymore!! :-( Now you're back to your old standard definition television sets, until you can upgrade again. I would like Netflix and or Hulu. And I know I could stream them on my computer. The problem is that I only have one Desktop computer in my bedroom. And it's too uncomfortable for my Mother to sit in my Bedroom to watch them on my computer or my HDTV. :-( She needs her special comfortable chair to sit on for long periods of time, that she has in the living room!! Otherwise she gets in very bad pain with her Back problems! Plus, she likes to watch the Current Local News Live on her TV in there, also CNN and TV shows that she likes and movies as well. She likes to watch shows like The Golden Girls, The Andy Griffith Show, Law and Order, and Blue Bloods. She likes most of the older movies from the 40's through the 70's or so. I like the same things except for The Golden Girls!! LOL!! And like other sitcoms too when I can catch them on TV. Thanks for telling me all about the Older "Roku"devices!!! But, with my Mother only watching TV in the living room we are most likely going to keep our cable provider plan! Even though we lost those channels we Still have the HBO and Showtime channels which both my Mother and I like. I have a DVD player hooked up to her TV and she also enjoys watching some DVD movies on that too!! Even if I could afford to buy the Roku 2 box, that has the 3 analog cables to hook up to her TV, I would have to unplug the DVD player to use the Roku Box!! :-( Her TV only has hook ups like that for One device!! Plus, since we are keeping Cable TV I can't afford to pay the monthly fees for "Netflix" and "Hulu" too. So, it looks like for now anyway, we are sticking with our Cable TV plan. Oh well. I see you mostly watch DVDs now until you can upgrade to a HDTV again. I like watching DVD's too!! I looked at both the "Roku 2" and the "Roku Express" boxes on amazon just now. They do Look Cool!! The "Roku Express" does need an HDMI port from what I could see, though. Eventually when my Mother's Old TV dies, and we have to get a new TV for her, that will be an HDTV with HDMI ports etc. Then maybe we can look into the Newer Roku Boxes at that time, and maybe drop down to a lower TV Plan from our Cable TV company. It's snowing here today. We are supposed to get between 5 to 9 inches so they say. Then tomorrow the temps will drop down to the Low teens!!! I guess it's going to take some time for the snow to melt!! :-( Did you get any know there?

Hey Sadie!

I HAVE to join the Senior Center this Monday!!!! FUN!!!! I have an 11 AM appointment with that woman there. Have to join the Center with her First, with an application. Then I'll tell her what happened with my Medicaid, and see if she can Help me with This!! I'm bringing all of my paperwork with me there. I'm Hoping Somehow she can get this Straightened Out!!! Will see? Also, I have my Shrink's Appointment this coming Thursday!!! And need my Meds!!! I'm going to have to cancel my appointment with him, and Hopefully get a phone visit. Will tell him what's going on! And have him send my prescriptions to the Drug Store. But, since my Medicaid Lapsed my Part D Prescription Plan won't pay for my Meds unless I'm covered by both Medicare and "Medicaid"!!! I Don't know what the Hell I'm going to do??? I'm Sure my problem with Medicaid won't be straightened out by then for sure!!! Will probably take a couple of weeks??? Who Knows?? I'm Screwed!!! :-( I'm So Damn Nervous about This!!!!

We got about 6 inches of snow. And the temps have been below freezing for 12 straight days here!! It's Really Cold and has been in the low teens for days and feels even colder with the wind chill factor!! We MIGHT get a mix of Snow and Rain this coming Monday. After that the temps will rise.

I've had a cold for almost 2 weeks now. But, it's not that bad now. My poor Mother caught a Very Bad Cold on Tuesday!!! She has it Bad!! I'm Hoping it won't get worse!! I'm worried about Her!!!

Just wanted to stop by and tell you the latest here!!! I probably won't be on the computer that much next week because of this MESS!! Will probably have to be dealing with that Lady at the Senior Center back and forth, and also my Shrink, etc! And maybe will have to take my Mother to the Doctor if her Cold get's worse?!??

Just wanted to let you know. I Hope to catch up with you as soon as I'm able to!!! I just don't know When yet, with all that's going on? But, as soon as I can, I Look forward to catching up with you again!!!!
