This is off topic, but I think you might Enjoy this video. LOL!! Gives us Hope!! ;-)

Hope we can catch up Soon!!! :-)

Child actress Juanita Quigley died this week at the age of 86.
Her most well known role is as Elizabeth Taylor and Angela Lansbury's sister in "National Velvet."
RIP

Hey Beatlebob! Today is Daylight Savings Day and Laundry Day for me too, since I have a big appointment on Tuesday in another town. Ugh! This is only my first one, November is full of several more appointments! I can't wait til it's all over with and Thanksgiving is here!! Thanks for the best wishes! And thanks for that video too! LOL!!! I really did enjoy it, eventhough it was a bit off topic! Hope to catch up with you soon too! Have a fab week, my friend!! :-)

That little girl actress who passed away looks a bit familiar! I've probably seen her in movies before but can't remember exactly what. I don't think she was one of The Little Rascals though, which is what I first thought.

I saw this on Facebook today and wanted to share it here:

In mid-October 2013, I obtained an address in Arizona for Juanita Quigley. I can't recall if I found it or Danny or someone else, but I got it. And I wrote to her.

For those who don't remember her, Juanita started her career in 1934 at age three working as Baby Jane. She was also in THE BLUEBIRD, ASSIGNMENT IN BRITTANY, and in WHISPERING FOOTSTEPS which starred her sister Rita.

Her most memorable role, though, is as Malvolia in NATIONAL VELVET. Her final role was a walk on in PORKY'S II where she was credited once more as Baby Jane.

She is also known by film buffs for spending much of her young adulthood as a nun.

The answer to my note arrived today. Much like many of the old timers I write to, she didn't know Virginia. She was four years younger and while she did wind up playing a role meant for Virginia-as "the Runt" in A YANK AT ETON-four years after it was shelved for Ginny, they did not run across each other at MGM. They also did not work together when they were both in MEN WITH WINGS at Paramount.

I am posting both her note and the wonderful autographed photo she sent without my even asking for one. From the brief note, she reinforces the view of a child's Hollywood that both Marilyn Knowlden and Margaret Kerry gave us; that there was little interaction with the other kid actors most of the time.

How sweet of her to send a letter back to that person! Rest In Peace.

Beatlebob, alot of people have been asking me about Candy O lately. BeatleNut, Paulie, etc... I was wondering if we should still post Happy Birthday greetings for her next month like we do every year? Maybe that might get her attention? My birthday is on December 4 and hers is on December 6, if you forgot. :-)

I won't be online tomorrow (Tuesday the 7th) because I have an eye doctors appointment in another city. A long ride to get up there and back home! :-(

I will be back here on Wednesday though! Hope to catch up with you then or sometime soon! And I hope all is well with you and your family lately!

Have a good week!! :-)

Hey Sadie! Sorry it took so long to get back to you!!! I've been busy with stuff around here and haven't been feeling that good, as well.

I see it was Laundry Day for you too!!! FUN!! Yeah, I know you have that big appointment on Tuesday (Today) in another town!! :-( Oh What FUN!! :-( So Sorry you have to travel like that!!!! And this is Only your First one, and November is full of a lot of other appointments!!! :-( I'm Sure you can't wait till it's all over with!!!!! And Thanksgiving will be coming! At least that! :-) You're Welcome for the BEST Wishes!!!! And that video too!! LOL!!!! I'm Glad you Enjoyed it!! Yeah, even though it was a bit off topic.

Thanks for posting the Two pictures of Child actress Juanita Quigley. RIP Juanita Quigley.

At first I thought she might have been in The Little Rascals  too. But, I see we were both wrong about that. She does look a bit familiar though! Then WOW!!!! Thank You So Much for posting ALL of the information about her!!! And thanks for posting that letter too!! Yes, it was very Sweet of her to send a letter back to that person!!! She sure had a long career as an actress!!! Very Interesting information!!! Thanks for sharing this my friend!!!

I see a lot of people have been asking you about Candy O lately!! I seen that on the front page here too. Maybe we Should post Happy Birthday greetings for her next month, like we do every year!! Yes, maybe That just might get her attention? It's worth a Try!! Thanks!!! I Do remember your Birthday is on December 4th, and hers is on December 6th. :-)

Thanks for reminding me about Today!! I Wish You the Best Today with your Eye Doctor appointment!!!!!! I'm So Sorry you have to travel to another city, though!!! I can imagine it will be a Long Ride to get up there and back home!!!!! :-( It's a shame that you have to travel so far, like that!!!! But, I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST with the Appointment!!!!! And Wish You a Safe Trip there and back too!!!

I Hope we can catch up on Wednesday Too!!!!! Let me know how the eye doctor appointment went!!!! If I can't make it on the computer tomorrow for any reason, I'll catch back up with you ASAP!!!!!!!!

Thanks!!!!! My family and I are hanging in there, my friend!!!!

Hope to Catch Up SOON!!!! Have a FAB Week Too, My Friend!!!! :-) BEST WISHES TODAY!!!!!

Hey Beatlebob!! I'm so relieved my eye doctor appointment is over and done with! I went because my glasses recently broke but it turns out my prescription actually changed and I really did need new glasses anyway! LOL! I'm looking forward to any Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Birthday greetings you will post soon, like every year! No need to make any new ones, you can just share some old ones! Good to hear you and your family are doing alright. How are your sister and mother recovering? And you?? I've got to get a flu shot soon. I'm so scared of getting sick in winter! It's the worst! Well I'll talk to you later! Have a good week, my friend! :-)

Hey Sadie! I'm Sure you're So Relieved that your eye doctor appointment is over and done with!!! With all of that traveling you had to go through!! :-( I remember you telling me your glasses recently broke! I see it turned out your prescription actually changed too so, you really DID need new glasses anyway!!! LOL!! So, it's Good you went!!! I Hope your new glasses are working out Good for you!!! I wasn't online yesterday because I seen the weather forecast in the morning said it's going to get Really Cold over the next few days here! It's only supposed be 37 and windy on Friday, and our building is having problems with the oil burner for heat and hot water!! :-( So, I spent yesterday covering up our window air conditioners!! I used an old thin blanket and cut it to size and used large trash bags with heavy duty tape to cover up the A/C's!! Don't need cold air coming through the A/C's in the winter time! They are working on the oil burner, Hopefully they will fix it by Tomorrow!!

Thanks!!! I'm Glad you're looking forward to my Thanksgiving, Birthday greetings, and Christmas creations that I'll be posting soon, like I do every year! :-) Most likely I'll be sharing some old ones! Hope you don't mind! Thanks!!! Yes, my family and I are Hanging In There the best we can! My Sister is recovering really well!! She said besides having the bandage on she isn't having any pain at all. :-) My Mother's hand is doing a lot better than it was! Still hurts sometimes but, it takes a long time for it to heal. She has a lot of physical problems she deals with every day. But, she just deals with it the best she can. With me, I had a problem after my last Urologist exam and procedure. The problem got somewhat better. But, I'm worried what will happen the next time I see my Urologist in the beginning of February! He has been doing these procedures on me every Three months for a long time now. He does it to avoid having prostate surgery done. After what happened with this last procedure, I'm not sure IF he'll be able to do these procedures anymore?? Will have to have a long talk with him about what my options are when I see him in February!! Who Knows?? I'm Hoping my symptoms will improve by the time I see him!! Other than that I'm still having my same problems with my stomach and back. But, Hanging In There the Best I Can! Thanks for asking!!

How are your Parents doing? And How are YOU doing my Friend??? I Hope Alright!!!!!! I know you have several more appointments in November!! I Hope Everything turns out Alright!!! I Wish You The Best With Them!!! I see you have to get a Flu Shot soon!! I got one last month. And I'm getting a Pneumonia shot in December. I hear Ya!!! I'm scared of getting sick in the winter too!!! Sure is the Worst!!! I Hope you get your Flu Shot SOON!!!! Keep me posted about your appointments this month!!!

Hope we can catch up SOON!!!! Thanks!!! You have a Good Rest Of The Week too, My Friend!! :-)

Actor John Hillerman,

who played opposite Tom Selleck in the hit 1980s TV show Magnum P.I.,

has died age 84

I know who he is, eventhough I never watched that show much. Rest In Peace.

Hey Beatlebob! My apartment dosen't have good air conditioning and heating either. It's probably an oil burner problem too. So I know how you feel! Hopefully what you did will work out fine until they can fix it themselves! :-)

No, I don't mind at all if you re-post the same holiday Photoshops again this year! It's the thought that counts! :-)

That is great news about your sister! Glad she isn't really having any pain at the moment. Sorry to hear that your mother has alot of health problems though. I can see why her hand is taking so long to heal. Just keep on helping her deal with it the best you can! :-)

Omg! I can imagine you and your urologist don't want to resort to prostate surgery! I bet the procedures are no fun either! I'm wishing the best for you with that, my friend!! Hope you feel better soon!!!!!! :-)

My parents are alright, and so am I. Just very busy lately. Thanks for the best wishes on my appointments. I think I'm going to postpone them (at least some) until December or maybe even January. It's just too overwhelming to deal with so much stuff within one month! It was hectic getting up to my eye doctors appointment! The holiday season is always hectic anyways! Ugh! I'm not making Thanksgiving Dinner this year though, I'm going to go eat the city meal downtown! I'm already looking forward to 2018!! This year was so long and hard! I need a Pneumonia shot as well, along with the flu and maybe even a Tetanus shot. And I've got to get a better coat, as mine is a few years old and dosen't even zip up anymore. I hope it's because it shrunk in the dryer and not because I gained some weight. LOL!!! I'm not taking ANY more chances on getting sick this winter! Good to hear you'll be getting vaccinated too. Wise decision! :-)

Have a good Veterans Day weekend, my friend!

Good to hear from you and hope to catch up even more soon! :-)

I seen this on the news too. I also, know who he is. I never watched Magnum P.I. that much either. Even though I liked "Tom Selleck" in a few made for TV Westerns and like him on the TV show Blue Bloods. I found a little more information about John Hillerman:

Mr. Hillerman became friends with Peter Bogdanovich early in his theatrical career, when the two performed as spear carriers in a Central Park production of Shakespeare’s “Othello.” Bogdanovich cast him in a small role in “The Last Picture Show” (1971), based on Larry McMurtry’s drama of a fading Texas town, and Mr. Hillerman became a member of the director’s stock company, playing a hotel manager in “What’s Up, Doc?” (1972), a lawman in “Paper Moon” (1973) and a chauffeur in “At Long Last Love” (1975).

Other appearances included the ice cream parlor owner Howard Johnson in Mel Brooks’s western farce “Blazing Saddles” (1974) and a corrupt public official in Roman Polanski’s detective masterpiece “Chinatown” (1974). Over the next several years, Mr. Hillerman played radio detective Simon Brimmer on the TV series “Ellery Queen,” was Betty White’s estranged husband on “The Betty White Show” and was Mr. Conners on the sitcom “One Day at a Time.”

Thanks for posting this!! That's a nice picture of him! RIP John Hillerman

Hey Sadie! I'm Sorry to hear your apartment doesn't have good air conditioning and heating too!! :-( Yeah, it's probably an oil burner problem too. So, you know how I feel!! Thanks!! So far what I did on our A/C's are helping! I Hope they will fix the problems with the oil burners in your apartment and my apartment Soon!! :-)

Thanks!! Glad you don't mind that I'll re-post the same holiday Photoshops again this year!!! I just don't have the time, and my computer isn't acting top notch to do all new ones without it crashing! Yeah, it's the thought that counts!! :-)

Thanks!!! Yes, it sure is Great news that my Sister isn't having any pain from her procedure!! :-) Just a matter of time till the area heals up! Yes, it's sad that my Mother has alot of health problems!! :-(With her age and all her problems, I'm sure that has to do with her hand taking so long to heal! That's all I can do, is keep on helping her deal with it all the best I can!! :-)

Really!!! Yes, my Urologist and I Don't want to have to resort to prostate surgery!!! And Yes, those procedures I've been having Sure are No FUN either!!! But, I rather have more of them than prostate surgery!!! Will see my options are when I see him again. Thanks So Much for Wishing Me The Best With This, My Friend!!! Thanks!!! I Hope I'll be feeling Better soon too!! :-)

I'm So Glad to hear that Your Parents are doing Alright!! :-) And So Glad to hear YOU are doing Alright Too!!! :-) Yes, I know you have been busy lately. You're So Welcome for the Best Wishes with your appointments!!! I Surely Understand why you would want to postpone them or, at least some of them until December or maybe even January!!! Both my Mother and I did the very same thing with some of our Doctor appointments for the Same Reason!!! Yes, it's very overwhelming to deal with so much stuff within One month!!! And Yes, the holiday season is always hectic too!!! :-( It was Hectic Enough getting up and back to your eye doctor's appointment!!! :-( So, I see what you mean!!! I see you're not making Thanksgiving Dinner this year. That you're going to eat the city meal downtown! I don't blame you!! Making Thanksgiving Dinner is Sure a Chore!! And expensive too!! I Hope you will enjoy it!! My Mother is probably going with my cousin out to Long Island for Thanksgiving Dinner again this year. My cousin doesn't live too far from us and she picks my Mother up and takes her out there to see my other cousins for Thanksgiving Dinner. She Really Enjoys that!! And it will be Good for her to get away for some enjoyment, for one day at least!! I'm Glad she does that!! And my cousin takes good care of my Mother when they go! I don't go because of some of my health problems. But, I don't mind at all!! I just eat some stuff, along with my cat! LOL! ;-)

I'm already looking forward to 2018 too!! Yes, this year sure was so long and hard!!!! I Hope 2018 will bring Better things for you and me!!! We can only Hope!!! I see you also need a Pneumonia shot as well, along with the Flu shot!! And maybe even a Tetanus shot. I had a Tetanus shot already a while back! It's Good you'll be getting these shots to be on the safe side!!!! :-) I'm Glad to hear it!!! I'm sorry to hear you have to get a better winter coat!!! I see that it's a few years old and doesn't even zip up anymore!! YES! You better get a new coat!!!

"I hope it's because it shrunk in the dryer and not because I gained some weight. LOL!!!"

LOL!!!!!!! ;-) I'm sure it's because it shrunk in the dryer!! ;-) My good old winter coat is still hanging in there. The zipper is broken on mine too. But, the heavy buttons Still work good enough!! And they all work from top to bottom. So, no need for me to get a new one!! It's still a good coat and I've been wearing it for years!! LOL! ;-) I'm Glad you're Not taking ANY more chances on getting sick this winter!!! You better get a new coat!! And Yes, it's a Very Wise Decision that we Both will be getting vaccinated too!! :-)

Thanks!!!!! I Hope You have a Good Veterans Day weekend Too, My Friend!!! Even though I'll be doing Laundry FUN again tomorrow!! LOL!!

It's Always Good to hear from you too!!! I Hope we can catch up more SOON!!!!! :-)

Sadie! I KNOW it's Very Early in the month to post This! But, I Know This One Cracks You Up!! LOL!!!! ;-)
I scaled it down.

I'll post the larger one and the Other One near Thanksgiving!! :-)

Have a FAB Day!! :-)

:-)

Hey Beatlebob! It's sad how you've been getting procedures done lately, as if your mother and sister's health aren't enough to worry about, you've also got your own health to worry about too! Unreal! :-(

That is sweet of your cousin to take your mother out on Thanksgiving to eat dinner and visit some family. I wish I had at least one family member who was that nice and caring! Unfortunately they're all assholes on both sides! LOL!! That's why I don't mind going out to eat in public for Thanksgiving this year instead of cooking at home. I can't afford my own feast and barely nobody other than my parents would come anyway!

I am looking forward to getting the rest of this year over with, and finally finding a new coat that fits! I've tried a few stores but still no luck yet! Maybe I'll just have to lose weight until I can fit into my old one again? LOL!!! Yes, I still get a kick out of that picture of John Lennon as the turkey, even if you post it every single year it still makes me laugh everytime I see it! I could imagine him actually doing something like that! LMAO!!! And I love that dining room they're in. It looks so realistic and cozy! Thanks for sharing it here, once again... I have it saved somewhere but it's a bit hard to find. I'd have to search through all my tons of saved photos, so I'm glad you posted it again! :-D

Best wishes to you and your family! Have a Happy Thanksgiving, my friend!!!  :-)

Hey Sadie! It's so Good to hear from you again!! :-) Well, I won't be seeing my Urologist again till the beginning of February. So, I have a while before I see him again to possibly have another procedure done. At least I get a break from that for a while!! I'll be getting a pneumonia shot in the beginning of December. When I'm there I'll make an appointment to see my MD about the results of that cat scan I had done last month etc. So far I don't have any Doctor visits this month, unless something comes up. I'm Glad about that!! :-) Yeah, last month I had enough of Doctor visits and tests!! No FUN at all! But, I'm always worried about my Mother's and Sister's health, including my own health problems!! Also, always worried about my cat's health too! Can't get away from the worry! It's just the way it is! I just Hope for the Best, is all I can do!!

Yes, it's very sweet that my cousin is taking my Mother out on Thanksgiving to eat dinner and visit my other cousins. She's a very sweet person!! She is a Nun. A Sister Of Charity, and also taught classes in a Catholic school. She's semi retired now. And lives with a few other Nuns near her church. So, I know my Mother is in good hands when they get together! :-) I'm Sorry to hear you don't have ANY family members that are nice and caring people!! :-( It's Sad that they're all assholes on both sides!!! LOL!!! :-( It's no wonder you don't mind going out to eat in public for Thanksgiving this year, instead of cooking at home!!! I know it's hard to afford your own feast!!! And nobody other than your parents would come anyway!! :-( I Hope you manage to enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner when you go to eat the city meal downtown!!! Enjoy, My Friend!! :-)

I'm also, looking forward to getting the rest of this year over with!!! 2017 SUCKED!! LOL!! I Hope you'll be able to find a new coat that fits!!! I see you tried a few stores, but still no luck yet!! That's So Frustrating!!! :-(

"Maybe I'll just have to lose weight until I can fit into my old one again? LOL!!!"

LOL!!!!!! ;-) Just keep looking, Hopefully you'll Luck Out and find one that Fits!! I Hope So!!!! I know how Damn Frustrating it is trying to get clothes that fit!!! There aren't any clothes stores near me! I have to travel to NYC to try to find clothes! The stores that have clothes for men in the Bronx are Very Far Away! The last time I went to a few of them I couldn't find anything that fit right!! Was a total waste of time and had to travel far!! The last time I went to NYC I had to go to 4 stores before I found a few items that fit. And that was a long time ago!! Dragging clothes bags on the bus wasn't FUN at all!!! I was exhausted by the time I got home!! SUCKS!! That's why I'm holding on to my Old Winter Coat!! It's Good Enough!! LOL!!

I'm So Glad you still get a kick out of that picture of John Lennon as the turkey!!! LOL!!! :-) And even if I post it every single year, it still makes you laugh every time you see it!!! :-) Thanks for saying that!!! I'm Glad I posted it!!! :-) I could also, imagine him actually doing something like that!!!! LMAO!!!!! I loved his sense of humor!!! It took me a long time to find that specific dining room background!! I had the picture of the Beatles on my desktop while searching for a background that would be appropriate and matched the colors of their shirts "somewhat". Yes, it looks so realistic and cozy!! :-) I applied a slight drop shadow to the Lads and used the burn tool a bit on their shirts etc. So Glad You Enjoy It!!! :-) You're So Welcome for sharing it here again!!! I'm Glad I posted it, I wouldn't want you looking through all your tons of saved photos!!!! :-) I'll post the larger sized one of this photo and the Other One without John as the Turkey near Thanksgiving!! :-) I see you posted some vintage Thanksgiving photos!!! I'll check them out now!!!! Thanks!!!! :-)

Thanks My Friend!!!! Best Wishes to YOU and your Parents too!!! I Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving, My Friend!!!! :-) Hope to catch up with you soon!!! :-)
